MOUNT TSUKUBA AREA
This course offers stunning views of Mount Tsukuba, one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains. The Mount Tsukuba Course is a dedicated bike path which follows the former Tsukuba Railway line. Old station buildings have been converted into rest areas making this the perfect choice for beginner cyclists. For those who'd like a challenge, the Mount Tsukuba Hill Climb Course is also directly accessible from the Railway Course.

Lake Kasumigaura accounts for 35% of Ibaraki's land area. The Lake Kasumigaura Course follows the lake shore and offers superb views of the area. On clear days Mount Tsukuba and Ushiku Daibutsu Big Buddha can be seen across the lake. There are also plenty of places to stop for food along the route.
